Smell is a very acute sense. I had a very stressful week at work this past week and when I got home and finally sat down, I smelled my aromatherapy oils at work. I immediately felt my shoulders relax and my body just take a deep breath. My favorite scents in aromatherapy oil or essential oil for that matter are lavender, mints, eucalyptus, rosemary and lemon scents. In my past home, I had a huge garden and I had my favorite plants of lavender, rosemary and mint all near the deck. I would just sit out there and when a slight breeze came could smell the different aromas. Now, with my much smaller yard, I purchase my favorite scents online in aromatherapy oils or essential oils. My mom has been telling me lately that she has trouble sleeping. I know that the lavender and chamomile scent helps me be calm, so I will buy her these in essential oils online to see if this helps her relax and sleep. With the hectic and stressful world we live in, thank goodness there are natural plants and scents we can use to make us feel better.
